Maurice Pochet was the owner of the only shop in Besinne.
Whenever Munisch Schneider was in danger of being found by the Nazis at his
hideout with the Adnets, Maurice, and his wife Marie, would give him shelter
for a few days, until the danger passed. They had built a dug-out in their field
where he hid.
After the war, Maurice Pochet even helped Munisch to stand on his own
feet by giving him the commission to sell Mr. Pochet’s stamp collection.
Nicole, Mr. Schneider’s daughter, is in touch with family Pochet’s 3
children.
