The International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation has contacted thenews.pl to appeal for information on two Polish saviors of Jews during WW II.
The International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation is looking for any information regarding Ms Stanislava (Stacha) Slawinska and her nephew, Roman Slawinski (in middle of photo), originally from the town of Grodzisk (Mazowieski?), Poland.
According to testimonies, Ms Slawinska sheltered around 10 Jews during 1942-1945. One of them was Ms Esfira Maiman, who managed to escape from the Warsaw Ghetto.
Ms Slawinska has passed away several years ago but, Mr Slawinski, who as a young boy helped his aunt in sheltering the jews, might very well be alive, in his late 70’s or early 80’s.
