Born in 1929 in Belgium, she is the daughter of Polish Jewish parents.
During the Second World War she was a refugee in France, from where her father was deported to Maidanek extermination camp.
She collaborates giving testimony with institutions devoted to remember what happened in the Holocaust and to highlight the actions of the righteous who helped persecuted people.
