Savior Nicholas Winton in an interview with CBS news program and other media
CBS TV program ‘60 minutes’ dedicated a segment called “saving the children” to one of the most remarkable humanitarian stories of World War II. Nicholas Winton helped save over six hundreds of mostly Jewish children from Nazi-occupied Czechoslovakia on the eve of the war. Nicholas Winton will become 105 in May. One week later, “60 Minutes” presented a few letters from the audience, and some of them mentioned the fact that he should be declared “Saint”.

Presentation of the Wallenberg program in the Armenian school in Buenos Aires
On April 11, 2014, Wallenberg Foundation volunteers participated in a new presentation of the education and outreach program “Wallenberg School,” which was started in 2000. The presentation took place at the high-school “Colegio Mekhitarista” in Buenos Aires for students at the secondary level and teachers.

“Saviors on the screen” 2014 presented by the JCC of Manhattan and the International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation
“Saviors on the Screen,” a series of special films dedicated to the rescuers of Jews during the Holocaust, was presented by the International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation and the JCC of Manhattan from April 27 to 28, 2014. This initiative, launched in 2006 through the International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation, is held annually to celebrate “Yom Ha Shoah” Holocaust Day at the JCC Manhattan.

An article entitled “A Good Man” (Opinion, 19/III/2014) by Ms. Pilar Rahola was dedicated to the memory of a Holocaust survivor. Jaime Vándor was saved by the Spanish diplomat Angel Sanz Briz, also known as the Angel of Budapest. We are thankful to Ms. Rahola and La Vanguardia for keeping alive the memory of the heroes of the Holocaust.

The central archives of the Federal Security Service of Russia (FSB) should allow free access to documents that might shed light on the fate of her uncle, one of the greatest saviors in the history of mankind.
March 6th Day of the Righteous in Europe
The International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation announces its support for the creation of 6 March as the European Day of the Righteous. “We are proud to support this initiative as it is very symbolic to promote peace and understanding among people of good will” said Baruch Tenenbaum, founder of the Wallenberg Foundation, and Eduardo Eurnekian, president of the Wallenberg Foundation, in a joint statement.
