Some of the visitors included Agnes Adachi, a woman saved by Wallenberg; Lars Ostling and Helen Daun Rosengren, Consul for Economic and Commercial Affairs and Information Officer of the Consulate of Sweden; as well as Baruch Tenembaum and Elin Borg, the founder and a Swedish volunteer of the International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation, among many others.

The Jerusalem Post. Fate of a hero
Sir, – It’s Raoul Wallenberg’s birthday today and over 60 years since his disappearance. Hasn’t the time finally come for his fate to be revealed? The ongoing ”100,000 Names for 100,000 Lives” campaign has already accumulated over 22,000 signatures in an effort to solve the mystery, and 425 pages of it have been presented to President Vladimir Putin, other world leaders and the UN.
The Jewish Press. Wallenberg Remembered
Raoul Wallenberg, rescuer of approximately 100,000 Hungarian Jews during the Holocaust, turns 94 on August 4. Whether he is still alive to celebrate his birthday remains a mystery.
Wallenberg, a Swedish diplomat, arrived in Hungary in July 1944 as first secretary to the Swedish legation in Budapest, at the behest of the American War Refugee Board’s representative in Stockholm. The Nazis had already deported or murdered 440,000 Jews before Wallenberg arrived; 230,000 remained.
Zenit. Wallenberg Foundation to Be Honored
BUENOS AIRES, Argentina, AUG. 20, 2006 (Zenit.org).- Argentina’s Mother Teresa Popular Library will honor the Raoul Wallenberg International Foundation with a community service award.
According to the executive commission in charge of awarding the Mother Teresa of Calcutta prize, the foundation has ”developed a cultural educational movement in favor of life, solidarity and dialogue between nations and men, seeking truth and universal justice.”
The Edelweiss Pirates: A Story of Freedom, Love and Life
In the years before World War II, the members of the Nazi regime became intent on cultivating a sense of loyalty and entitlement in the German youth. It would be too late, they thought, to wait for adulthood; the Nazi mentality must be inscribed on children if it was to take hold and grow to support the cause. With such an intention, the Hitler Youth was born.
Child’s Day in the Raoul Wallenberg Center
Child’s Day was celebrated in Argentina on August 13th. On the occasion the Wallenberg Foundation visited the Wallenberg Center located in ”La Juanita” neighborhood in Gregorio de Laferrere, headquarters of the Movimiento de Trabajadores Desocupados de La Matanza (Unemployed Workers Movement of La Matanza), a non-governmental organization led by Toty Flores and Soledad Bordegaray.
Río Negro. The process of Mr. W
Someone libeled Mr. W, because that morning he had been taken by the militaries and no one knew anything else about him ever after. Paying tribute to Kafka’s talent as a prophet of the totalitarianism of the twentieth century is the topic of the time. On the other hand, the absurd grotesque of Raoul Wallenberg ”disappearance” represents the key-code of a Kafkaesque novel. But this absurd, worldly and human fact responds thoroughly to the undecipherable logic of the total-authoritarian standard.
Minister of Culture remembers Raoul Wallenberg
The ceremony took place on August 4th, in Buenos Aires, next to the statue of the missing diplomat.
Raoul Wallenberg saved tens of thousands of people condemned to death by the Nazis. He was a role model of courage and altruism. Therefore, the International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation organized in Buenos Aires a ceremony in his honor to mark the 94th anniversary of his birth. The tribute took place next to the statue that commemorates the ”Hero without a Grave”, located on the corner of Figueroa Alcorta and Austria.
Clarín. Petition to Moscow seeking the opening of the files connected to the Wallenberg case
A ceremony will take place today on the 94th anniversary of the Swedish diplomat’s birth.
Wallenberg helped over 100 thousand Jews to escape the nazis. The soviet army captured him and from then on no one knew anything else about him.
A ceremony in commemoration of Raoul Wallenberg will take place this afternoon in the corner of Figueroa Alcorta and Austria, beside the ”Hero without a Gravestone”-monument in his honor. The tribute to the Swedish diplomat, who saved over 100 Jews from the nazis in Hungry during the brutal years of the Second World War, coincides with the 94th anniversary of his birth.
Elisa Carrió remembers the Saviors of the Holocaust
On the 94th anniversary of Raoul Wallenberg’s birth, Member of Congress Elisa Carrió (ARI) remembered the Saviors of the Holocaust.
The ceremony, organized by the International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation, took place at the Hannah Arendt Institute, NGO presided by Carrió.
