Congressional Gold Medal of the United States Congress granted to Raoul Wallenberg and recognition of the Wallenberg Foundation.
On July 9th,2014, the Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg was honored posthumously with the Gold Medal of the United States Congress during a ceremony at the US Congress, Washington, DC, with the presence of many congressmen, Swedish diplomats, members of the Wallenberg family and friends of the IRWF. The project was sponsored by Senators Kirsten Gillibrand, Mark Kirk, Carl Levin and Mike Johanns and Congressman Gregory Meeks. At the same ceremony, Eduardo Eurnekian, President of the International Raoul Wallenberg Foundation, received an award.
